He currently serves as the Commissioner for Lands and Water Resources in the administration of Governor Emmanuel Udoh, who has endorsed him as his successor in the 2023 election.

He is the founder and chairman of Royalty Group, a conglomerate that operates in various sectors such as hospitality, manufacturing, and oil and gas, with a nationwide presence.
Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, the Akwa Ibom State Gubernatorial candidate for the PDP, is not only a politician but also a prominent figure in the hospitality business in Akwa Ibom State. He founded Royalty Group, a conglomerate that operates in hospitality, manufacturing, and the oil/gas sector across Nigeria. Additionally, Pastor Umo Eno is the founder and General Overseer of the All Nations Christian Ministry International. He is an accomplished author with numerous published books and holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the prestigious University of Uyo. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. program at the same university.
Pastor Umo Bassey Eno is wedded to Pastor (Mrs.) Patience Eno and they have six children and grandchildren. He is also a spiritual mentor to numerous individuals.
Pastor Umo Bassey Eno’s popularity among the people of Akwa Ibom State was manifested by his outstanding performance during the PDP gubernatorial primaries where he emerged victorious with a total of 993 votes. In addition, numerous fans and support groups have pledged their loyalty to him. According to Mr. Anietie Usan, the Director of Umo Eno Campaign Organization, more than 600 support groups have sprung up to endorse Pastor Umo Eno as the gubernatorial candidate for Akwa Ibom State in the 2023 election.
An example of such a group is the Diaspora Friends of Umo Eno, which focuses on promoting peace and prosperity while also advocating for and supporting Pastor Umo Eno’s ideas, values, and candidacy across all local government areas (LGAs) in Akwa Ibom State and in other parts of the world.
Pastor Umo Bassey Eno and his team have a vision for Akwa Ibom State that has been summarized as ARISE, which stands for A – Agricultural Revolution and Food Sufficiency, R – Rural Development, Women and Youth Development, and Social Advancement, I – Infrastructural Maintenance and Advancement, S – Security Management, Sound Educational and Health Sector Management, and E – Economic and Industrial Advancement.
