On Saturday, August 28, 2021, family and friends of Ijeoma Gloria Adiuku-Amaoji gathered to celebrate her graduation from Nursing School at the University of Stratford.
The event, which served as both a thanksgiving and graduation ceremony, was a momentous occasion for the celebrant who had overcome the challenges of being a single mother and health issues to graduate with double honours. Her success story has continued to inspire all those who were present to witness the felicitous evening.
During the event, Lady Nnenna Joy Ugorji, the celebrant’s elder sister, praised Ijeoma as “compassionate, cheerful, and naturally intelligent”. She congratulated Ijeoma for successfully navigating adult education, single motherhood, and various health challenges, and commended her for excelling in all of them.
Lady Nnenna Joy Ugorji, in her tribute, raised a toast to her sister, Ijeoma, congratulating her on her graduation and wishing her good health and happiness. She expressed her hope that Ijeoma would live long enough to see her grandchildren grown. The occasion was graced by the presence of the presiding pastor from Mount Zion Believers Church, the officiating minister Pastor Mike Okere, Rev. Esonu from the All Saints Igbo Anglican Church in Maryland, USA, and other distinguished guests. The memorable event was covered live by the Excel TV crew, with Boniface Ihiasota, the CEO/Publisher of Excel Magazine International leading the team.
