The family and friends of Mrs. Abimbola Olajumoke Oniyide, a beloved matriarch and pillar of her community, gathered on June 8, 2023, to honor her memory and celebrate a life well-lived.
Mrs. Oniyide, born on November 23, 1934, peacefully passed away on May 4, 2023, leaving behind a rich legacy of love, compassion, and wisdom.
The somber yet poignant Service of Songs took place at Schiller Road Houston, where mourners paid their respects and offered heartfelt condolences to the grieving family. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of reverence as purple monotone enveloped the venue.
On June 9, 2023, family, friends, and well-wishers gathered once again, this time at the Forest Park Westminster Funeral Home and Cemetery, to bid a final farewell to their beloved Mrs. Oniyide.
The funeral service, accompanied by a delicate combination of baby pink monotone and purple caps, provided a serene backdrop for the poignant moments shared among those in attendance.
Following the funeral service, a reception was held at Enoch’s Event Center, where stories of Mrs. Oniyide’s kindness, warmth, and generosity resonated throughout the room. The gathering was a testament to the impact she had on the lives she touched, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Mrs. Abimbola Olajumoke Oniyide is survived by her three children, Rev. Olatunde Oniyide, Omotara Oniyide, and Ireyinka Osaikhuiwu. These devoted children, along with their families, have inherited the values and virtues their mother imparted, ensuring her spirit lives on through the generations.
The grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Mrs. Oniyide stand as a testament to her enduring legacy. Remilekun Adefuye, Sola Johnson, Adewale Adefuye, Elizabeth Johnson, Olugbo Oniyide, Seyi Omotosho, Isinmi Oniyide, Titi Omotosho, Osagie Osaikhuiwu, Osasu Osaikhuiwu, Ayomide Johnson, and Erioluwa Adefuye were fortunate to have known and cherished their beloved grandmother and great-grandmother. They carry her wisdom and love within them, ensuring that her memory remains eternally alive.
As Mrs. Abimbola Olajumoke Oniyide’s loved ones navigate this difficult period of grief, the community stands in solidarity, offering solace, support, and prayers during their time of mourning.
Her life has left an indelible imprint on the hearts and minds of those who were fortunate enough to have known her, and her legacy will continue to inspire and guide generations to come.
