Like Miss USA, Miss Teen USA Also Resign Title
UmaSofia Srivastava, the reigning Miss Teen USA, has tendered her resignation just days after Miss USA, Noelia Voigt, stepped down from her title.
UmaSofia made the announcement via Instagram, expressing that her decision stemmed from a misalignment of personal values with the pageant organization.
In her statement, UmaSofia expressed gratitude for her time as Miss NJ Teen USA, noting the fulfillment of representing her state as a first-generation Mexican-Indian American on the national stage.
However, she noted that her values no longer fully align with the direction of the organization, prompting her resignation.
This development follows Noelia Voigt’s resignation earlier in the week, where she cited mental health struggles as the reason for her departure.
Acknowledging these departures, the Miss Teen USA organization voiced support for UmaSofia’s decision and announced plans to name her successor.
Miss USA echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the prioritization of titleholders’ well-being.
However, recent exits from the organization, including that of Claudia Michelle, the social media director, have raised concerns.
Claudia cited workplace toxicity and bullying, urging for titleholders to be heard and not silenced.
