US President Joe Biden, alongside former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, is poised to host an unprecedented fundraiser in New York City, Excel Magazine International can report.

The event, a combination of gathering and concert, aims to raise over $25 million (£20 million) for the Democrat’s re-election campaign, marking a record-breaking milestone in political fundraising history, according to sources within Biden’s team.

The fundraiser is strategically positioned to widen the financial chasm between President Biden and his Republican contender, Donald Trump, as indicated by recent polls suggesting a fiercely contested race for the White House.

Scheduled for Thursday evening at New York’s Radio City Music Hall, the event follows a vigorous campaign push by Biden across pivotal battleground states, crucial in shaping the outcome of November’s election.

Despite the positive reception of Biden’s recent State of the Union Address among Democrats, his approval ratings continue to face challenges.

Coinciding with the fundraiser, President Trump is also present in the New York area to pay respects at the wake of fallen police officer Jonathan Diller, underscoring the juxtaposition of political events.

Biden’s campaign boasts a substantial war chest of $155 million, an unprecedented figure for a Democratic candidate at this stage of the electoral cycle, surpassing Trump’s reported funds of $74 million.

Anticipation runs high as over 5,000 attendees are expected to grace the star-studded Democratic fundraiser, with countless more tuning in online.

The event will be moderated by late-night talk show host Stephen Colbert and feature performances by renowned artists including Lizzo, Queen Latifah, and Lea Michele.

Adding to the allure, First Lady Jill Biden will host an exclusive after-party for 500 guests, attended by the president’s family, including his son Hunter Biden.

Tickets for the event range from $225 to half-a-million dollars, with exclusive opportunities such as a $100,000 photo op with Presidents Biden, Obama, and Clinton, captured by esteemed photographer Annie Leibovitz.

President Biden’s fundraising prowess continues to impress, with his previous single-day effort yielding $10 million following his State of the Union address.

Experts attribute Biden’s fundraising success to his incumbency advantage, coupled with the absence of significant primary challengers vying for Democratic donor support.

Meanwhile, Trump’s fundraising efforts have been hampered by legal battles and dwindling contributions, further widening the financial disparity between the two campaigns.

In response to the Democratic event, Trump issued a scathing fundraising email condemning the participation of Hollywood elites and framing it as a threat to the nation.

While Biden maintains an active campaign presence, Trump has adopted a lower political profile amidst ongoing legal proceedings.

Key issues such as the economy, inflation, immigration, and foreign conflicts have contributed to fluctuating approval ratings for President Biden, prompting him to emphasize legislative achievements and targeted outreach efforts to key voting demographics.
