The love story of Jena Banks and DJ (Deji) Oni-Orisan is a beautiful example of how love can transcend conventions and norms. They recently tied the knot on September 26, 2021, in a wedding ceremony held in Houston, Texas, USA.
Jena Banks recalled how they first met, saying that she and her friend Leisha ran into DJ and their mutual friends Raymond and Arick in the hallway after school. Although she only knew Raymond at the time, she greeted everyone and gave Raymond a hug. Arick and DJ started play-fighting to get a hug next, and when Jena hugged DJ, they became best friends. Over time, their friendship blossomed into a romantic relationship, and now they are happily married.
The Orisans celebrated their traditional marriage ceremony in a unique demonstration of the wealthy Yoruba culture from South Eastern Nigeria, at the Igbo Catholic Community Centre in Houston, Texas on September 24. Subsequently, they held their white wedding ceremony on September 26 at the Waters Edge Venue. Their parents, Laitan and Beatrice Orisan & Robert and Gilbert Banks, as well as other guests, were thrilled with the event.
Jena, the bride, was surrounded by her close family and friends during the wedding. Among them were Brandon Banks and Marcus Banks as honour attendants, Savannah Banks as a flower girl, and Sidney Banks, Syer Banks, and Malachi Banks as ring bearers. Other close friends included Jenea Emmanuel as the matron of honour, Jenea Clardy as the maid of honour, and Mashairi Awani, Jalisa Hurst, Opal Pierce, Lori Cade, Samantha Salinas, Jennifer Lee, Ravin Washington, Jeanette Perez, Stephanie Cruz, Natalie Salizar, and AJ as bridesmaids.
