Sisters’ Fellowship International (SFI) has held a spirited event titled ‘Praise Night to Benefit the Less Privileged’ at Trinity Assembly of God in United States, making charitable causes under the theme “Save a Thousand Dreams with a Single Step.”

The event covered by Excel Magazine International featured a significant fundraising effort aimed at supporting various underprivileged groups in Maryland and Washington DC. The occasion marked SFI’s dedication to charity and community service, with the funds benefiting organizations such as the Gabriel Network, Arc of PG County, and several homes for the elderly, among others.

Mrs Uche Ekwunife, Bowie Area President of SFI, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and participation. “Our mission is to spread the message of Christ through love and appreciation, and tonight’s turnout is a testament to our collective dedication to this cause,” she said.

The likes of Beatrice Ngere, President of the South Maryland Chapter; Uche Ekwunife, AP Bowie Area and President of the Bowie Chapter; Dr. Ifeoma Onyeiwu, President of the Upper Marlboro Chapter; Ezinne Daniel, President of the Silverspring Chapter; Nnenna Anyikude, Vice President 2 and Welfare Officer of the Bowie Chapter; Dr. Ukay Mbagwu, Vice President of the Silverspring Chapter; Ifeyinwa Alegbeleye, Vice President of the Upper Marlboro Chapter; and Stella Odidika, Vice President 1 of the Bowie Chapter played pivotal roles in organizing the event


Key leaders in SFI in attendance included IC Ify Umeasolugo, IC Hope Onweluzo, AC Boka Okonkwo, CO Prof. Chinelo Ikeh, and AP Amaka Okafor, HOD Mountain Movers.


The event was chaired by Chief Sir Dr. Mbonu and Iyom Lady Nneka Mbonu.


The night was graced by several notable figures, including Chief Mrs. Charity Nwaneri, Dr. Chi Akporji, Josephine Debbie Nwankwo, Iyom Lady Nneka Mbonu, Dr. Chinyere Amazu, and Mrs. Tiena Ngozi Eze (Mummy Agape), who served as the mothers of the day.


SFI’s journey began in Birmingham, United Kingdom, when Reverend Mrs. Nchez Iredu pursued her second degree. Since the official inauguration of the Bowie MD chapter in 2015 with just five members, SFI has grown significantly, now boasting five additional chapters in Maryland and Washington DC, including Upper Marlboro, Bowie, Silverspring, Southern Maryland, and Washington DC.


Excel Magazine International reports the remarkable growth of SFI reflects the dedicated efforts of its members to spread the message of Christ and provide aid to the less privileged. Through their charitable initiatives, SFI has made a substantial impact on the local community, emphasizing their core belief in giving and service.
